halloween decorating
there is a good chance my halloween decorations led you to this website. known as the āspider lady,ā I spend all of October coming up with over-the-top halloween decorations for families to enjoy. many props, such as the venus fly trap and the tombstones, are made from scratch.

How long have you been doing this?
Since 2018. It started out relatively small ā Just a couple of giant spiders and other standard spooky stuff. My friendly neighbor wanted to write about my house nonetheless for the Marin newspaper, so the word spread fast. Now, seven years later, I'm still at it.
where do you store all this stuff?
In my attic, garage, a small shed out back, and even along the backside of my roof.
How long does it take you?
a month to set up, but years of work goes into it.
Do you have help?
no, I do it all on my own.
do you work for Disneyland or on movie sets?
ha, no. I am a creative director - writer in marketing - for work. but if anyone wants to hire me for set design, yes please, Iām in.
Where do you get all these props?
Home Depot, amazon, spirit halloween, you name it. but as for the tombstones and other unique pieces like the Venus fly trap ā I hand sculpt those myself from scratch.
why do you do it?
because I love creativity and making people smile, especially the little ones.
